Haruhi Blu-ray Box in Japan on October 22th in Japan (subtitled!)

ultimatemegax posted in the Animesuki Forum that a Haruhi Blu-ray box will all episodes and both concerts and lots of bonus material is planned for October 22th. So far no information if subtitles are included but the price (39900 Yen) sounds ok for such a package, especially if it compared to the other KyoAni boxes like Clannad and Kanon^^;. The 2006 episodes should be an upscale but the 2009 episodes were produced in HD. There should be an official announcement on the Haruhi site in a couple of hours on 7/7 (because of Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody takes place on 7/7).

The set will be on 8 double-layered discs and comprise the whole series and both concerts. The talk portion of Gekisou will not be included. Other special features are the TV and promotional spots, store promotional videos, and location scouting footage. Run time is listed at 650 minutes for the main footage and 430 minutes of bonus footage for a total of 1080 minutes on the set.Edit: Here is the disc layout:
Discs 1-5: TV series, Disc 6: Bonus footage, Disc 7: Gekisou Live concert, Disc 8: Gensou Concert
It looks like some new “Taniguchi goes” segements will also be included in the set, because they are called “Taniguchi goes! A new Journey of Mysterious Discoveries” on the BDs.

Naja, zumindest vermute ich, dass es Upscales sind, da ja Kanon laut dessen Bonusmaterial die erste HD Serie von KyoAni gewesen sein soll. Aber für den Preis finde ich es ok, wenn die Hälfte des Materials nur Upscales sind. Ich hoffe mal, die kriegen das gut hin^^.

Naja, Tatsuya Ishihara zeigt in dem Bonusmaterial zu Kanon die unterschiede in der Cellgröße von Air zu Kanon aber er sagt nur, dass Kanon für HDTV produziert werden sollte, er sagt nicht direkt, dass es KyoAnis erste Serie für HDTV sei, wobei es wohl so sein wird.
Wäre aufschlussreicher gewesen, wenn er nicht nur Vergleiche zu Air gezogen hätte. Naja, man wird es ja sehen

Die TV Ausstrahlung von 2006 und 2009 waren Upscales, wobei die 2009er Folgen “schlechter” (wie bei Clannad und Kanon) ausgestrahlt wurden als die 2006er-Folgen. Ich rechne einfach mit Upscales und freue mich, wenn’s keine sind. Mich würde auch noch interessieren, ob die beiden Konzerte in HD aufgenommen wurden.

Und erst gestern habe ich mir die Season 2 DVD-Box von Bandai vorbestellt. Naja, egal. Der Preis ist mir bei dieser Box eindeutig zu hoch, vor allem da die Serie bei mir noch so eine Priorität wie manch andere Serie hat.

Da werde ich doch warten bis die Box bei Sofmap oder Mandarake als Second hand geben wird ( ich hab dir ja schon erzählt dass da die Preise teilw 10.000 YEN unterm Neupreis reinkommen
