Haruhi-chan / Churuya-san Blu-ray Box!
May 27th 11:03 pm
Neowing (jap. version of CD-Japan) lists a Japanese Blu-ray box that contains all Haruhi-chan and Churuya-san episodes. And in contrast to the DVD version, it will contain English subtitles! If I interpret the google translation correctl, it will contain all bonus material of the DVDs, however the CD soundtrack that was part of one of the DVDs will be probably missing. Furthermore, they stated that the series were both animated in HD. It will cost 14700 Yen and I doubt that the Bandai release won’t be on Blu-ray for the initital release to prevent re-imports.

New Haruhi artbook in July
May 21st 12:15 am
A few days ago I saw a post in the Animesuki-Forum, that a new Haruhi artbook will be released soon. A Japanese online shop listed it and the book is going to contain 150 illustrations from “spring to summer”, and as further explanation bunny-suits and swin suits are mentioned….
They refer to the anime so the images will be probably in the style of the anime (I guess 2009-style) and it will cost only 1800 Yen. CD-Japan also lists it now, but I will wait for Amazon.co.jp to order it together with the large Evangelion 2.0 Artbook , which also appeared at CD-Japan.

Haruhi-chan anime also licensed in the USA? Update: Confirmed!
May 8th 3:54 am
I finished listening to the most recent ANNCast a few minutes ago and was a little bit suprised that the guest of this episode Eric Sherman (CEO of Bang Zoom! Entertainment) mentioned that the future of Bandai Entertainment relies on the success of Haruhi (2009), Haruhi-chan, the Haruhi movie and another noch announced licence. It’s no surprise for me that Bandai has some problems (which is still the bigger news than the following), I never heard before that they actually got Haruhi-chan. Or did I miss something?
